Sleep among the banana groves of Kilimanjaro
Six rooms on a working coffee-and-banana slope, twenty-one kilometres from the summit and nine from Moshi. Breakfast is included. So is the mountain.
A family house that learned to keep guests
Migombani means “among the banana groves”, and that is exactly where it stands — on the southern slope of Kilimanjaro, in the shade of the trees our family has farmed for three generations. Coffee grows under the bananas. Water comes off the mountain. The house has six rooms, one long table, and a garden that supplies most of what lands on it.
You are close enough to Moshi for a morning in town and far enough out that what you hear at night is the wind in the leaves. Climbers use us as the last comfortable bed before the gate and the first one after. Everyone else tends to stay longer than they planned.
Six rooms, no two alike
Every rate includes breakfast, fibre Wi-Fi, solar hot water and a mosquito net.
The mountain is not going anywhere. Your dates might.
Send a request and we will hold the room for 24 hours. No card needed, no fee to cancel.
The things that actually matter
No spa menus, no pillow menus. Hot water that stays hot, internet that works, and someone awake when your flight lands at two in the morning.
Days worth taking off the mountain
Arranged by us, guided by people who grew up on this slope. Booked at cost — we do not take a cut.
Nine kilometres from town, twenty-one from the summit
We sit on the Moshi side of the mountain, on the road up through the coffee villages.
